Oil painting in Andrésy in August 1995,
at the end of the day (format 30 F) I sat in a barge and felt its movements in
the water while I painted. The foreground consists of the barge’s
bow, which was completely covered with rust and “caught fire”
in the sun. This painting was used as a support for the poster of
the exhibition “Impressions of the River” in 1996 in Poissy
(St-Louis Art Gallery).
